Trendy Consignments opened the doors on December 1, 2006 and is the brain child of Lynn and Tammy Smith. Neither had any experience in a retail enviroment but Tammy had a keen eye for fashion trends, value, and quality in clothing, jewelry, and accessories. Lynn knows very little about womens fashion but is proficient in setting up hardware, software, and inventory control systems. We have made some minor changes since we opened but we're happy to report that we efficiently handle the accounts of over 800 consignors and over 8000 inventory items.
OK we know that this doesn't have anything to do with the store but her is a picture of our two daughters, Kelly and Amber, and our three grandsons, Logan, Nathan, and newest addition, Caleb. Kelly on the Right lives in Michigan and is the Mom of our Grandsons. Amber on the left is a Nurse here in Norfolk and we're hoping someday for maybe a Grand daughter....or two.
Meet Susan.
Susan is Tammy's sister and is a real asset to the store. She has been with us for just over a year now. There is a little confusion sometimes due to the fact that Susan and Tammy look so much alike that the customers get a little comfused sometimes. Susan is married and has a son and a daughter.
Meet Doris.
March 1st of 2007 the Mary Perkins store next to us went out of business and we expanded into their space. Doris had worked for Mary Perkins for over 40 years. We talded her into bringing her customer skills to our store and she accepted. She is a blessing to our operation. She fights me everytime I try and get a picture of her.
Meet Lora.
Lora is Tammy and Susan Mom. She is pictured here with her husband Tom. She has been with the Store since the day we opened. Her background in Interior decorating and art has been of terrific value to us in the appearance and merchandise layout of hte store. Tom deserves some credit here too. He brings her twice a week from Greenbriar.
