Please look around our store and get a feeling of what we are all about. Our goal is to offer our customers quality merchandise that is stylish, gently used and affordable. In order to maintain our standards and to make Trendy Consignments a fun place to shop we ask our consignors to adhere to the following guidelines.
1. Consignment items are accepted by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 4:00. We strongly suggest that you come in and see the store before scheduling an appointment.
2. There is a limit of 20 items per appointment. We will not view anymore than 20 items at an appointment, so please don't bring more than requested. Clothing brought in for consignment must be clean, pressed, on hangers, of current style, no earlier than the 21st century, and in excellent condition. Clothing should be size 6 or larger. No juniors please.
3. Housewares and home decor items must be clean, free of damage, and complete. We do not accept electrical appliances. Anything needing batteries, must have working batteries. All costume jewelry will be considered one item.
4. You are encouraged to make a list of the items you consign, before your appointment. If you wish to suggest a price please note it on the inventory list. If we do not feel the price is consistent with our pricing guidelines the item will be returned to you.
5. You may monitor the status of your account by visiting this web site and visiting the consignor information center. You will need to know your account number. It will most likely be your birth date. Check with the store if you have trouble logging in.
6. Consignment Period for clothing, purses, shoes, accessories, and home decor items is 90 days. Furniture items is 180 days. Consignors who wish to retrieve their items should call the store. We will pull the items and have them ready for you within 24 hours. There is a $1.00 per item pull fee. No pick ups on Saturday. Consignment items left 15 days past their consignment period become the property of Trendy Consignments and may be disposed of or donated without notice.
7. Compensation. Consignors will receive 40% of the sales price for clothing, purses, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and home decor items. Consignors will receive 55% of the sales price on furniture. Consignors will receive 60% for gold jewelry. Consignor proceeds will be issued by check on the 15Th of the month and may be picked up anytime thereafter. The minimum check amount is $12.00. Amounts less that that will be paid in cash. Cash payments will be made between the 15th and 31st. of the month. Any cash balances showing on the first of the month will be paid on the following 15th. Consignor balances may be used against store purchases anytime. Consignors are reminded to check on funds due them. Checks become void after 90 days from issue and the proceeds forfeit to Trendy Consignments. There is a $1.00 processing fee charged per month on all accounts issued a check.
8. Discounting of consignment items with occur during the consignment ranging from 10% to 50% by consignment period end.
9. Trendy Consignment takes reasonable steps to guard against theft and damage to your consignment items, however Trendy Consignments is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or missing items.
ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE ACCEPTED FOR CONSIGNMENT
Women's clothing that is not cleaned and/or pressed and on hangers.
Clothing with lint, pet hair, or odors of pets or cigarette smoke will not be considered. Stained, faded, pilled, and wrinkled clothing will be refused.
Outdated clothing, older than 3 years, or junior sizes
Short shorts, halters, 2 piece bathing suits, t-shirts, sweat pants or sweat shirts, pleated pants or jeans
Tennis shoes or old outdated shoes
Bras, panties, slips, hose, sleepwear, used slippers
Monogrammed items or items with owners names written inside.
Men's clothing
Wedding dresses or bridesmaid dresses
Books and Magazines
Hair accessories, used make-up
Broken jewelry. Earrings must have backs
Watches that do not work. Replace batteries if necessary
Household appliances, bedspreads, comforters, sheets, tablecloths, place mats, doilies, bed pillows, curtains, rugs larger than 5' and shower curtains.
