Trendy Consignments will not function without high quality and well maintained merchandise that we get from our valued consignors.  Perhaps you are moving into the area, or moving out and your furniture just doen't work for you anymore. Just because it doesn’t work in your home, doesn’t mean that somebody else won’t be thrilled with it. 

 Send us a picture:  From a picture, we are able to get a sense of the style and condition and are then able to ask some educated questions about your furniture.  You can e-mail us pictures at Lynn@Trendyconsignments.com, bring them to our store or send them in the mail to us and we will return them to you.  Or if it is convenient for you to bring the merchandise by our store, we can evaluate it on our premises, however, we urge you to call ahead at 757-686-0471 at set an appointment to be  sure someone will be there to assist you.

Condition:  To be saleable in our store, the merchandise must be in good to mint condition. Evaluating your furniture on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, we look for pieces that are in between a 7 and a 10. If you have pets or allow smoking in your home, please insure the furniture is free of any associated odor.

Style:  We welcome quality items that have a timeless sense of style.  Furniture, like clothing, can go in and out of style.  Out of date furniture can be well constructed and in pristine condition, but if the style is not saleable today, then we would not be able to handle your merchandise.

Determining a selling price: Condition, style, and function are key components in determining price. If you have the information please share with us where you bought the piece, how old it is, how much you paid for it, and what you feel the piece should sell for. Remember the selling split, you, as the consignor get 55% of the sales price.

• Your consignment period will last a minimum of a 90 Days to a maximum of 180 days. You may pick up your consignment item any time after 90 days, if it has not sold
• Trendy Consignment will pay the consignor 55% of the item’s final sales price. 
• At 30 Days from the consignment date the price of the item will drop by 10% of the original sale price. At 60 Days the price will drop by 20% of the original sale price and continue to be reduced by 10% of the original price per month but in no case will it be reduced more than 50% of the original consigned price.  At 180 days the consignment period will expire. The Consignor will have a seven day grace period from the date of expiration to pick up their property.  Any item left in the store 190 days beyond the Consignment date will become the property of Trendy Consignments for services rendered and will be disposed of without notice or payment to the Consignor. 
• Items may be removed prior to 90 days at a fee of 25% of the original sale price.
• Service fees may apply to items that require excessive cleaning or repair work.  These fees will be discussed with consignors prior to accepting the item on consignment.
• Commission Checks are available for pick up for the prior month’s sales on the 15th of each month.  If you are leaving the area and need the check mailed please let us know.
